Key responsibilities include:

• Measurement: Accurately quantifying the materials and labor required for the project.
• Valuations: Assessing the value of the work completed on-site to date.
• Variations: Managing and pricing any changes or deviations from the original contract scope.
• Subcontractor Payments: Administering accounts and ensuring timely payments to the supply chain.

Salary Range

The typical salary range for a permanent Quantity Surveyor in the current market is £45,000 – £65,000.

Note: Wage growth in this sector continues to outpace national averages due to structural labor shortages rather than general inflation. A guaranteed car allowance is also now close to mandatory for site-mobile roles.
