As a Buyer you procure the materials that keep a site moving - negotiating supplier terms, placing orders against the build programme, and making sure the right materials arrive at the right price and the right time. It is a role where good relationships and sharp negotiation directly protect the project's margin.

Procure materials against the build programme and budget
Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers
Raise and manage purchase orders
Track deliveries and resolve supply issues
Maintain supplier relationships and identify savings
Work with site and commercial teams on material requirements

Who you are

Procurement or buying experience in construction
Strong supplier negotiation skills
An understanding of build sequences and material lead times
Good organisation and attention to detail
Housebuilding experience an advantage

Typical salary

£35,000 – £55,000
