What the job involves

As a Design Manager you own the design programme and the flow of information between the design team and the site. You make sure the right drawings reach the right people at the right time, and that design is delivered to programme, to budget and to standard.

Own and manage the design programme
Coordinate the design team and external consultants
Manage the flow of design information to site
Resolve design queries and buildability issues
Ensure design meets cost, quality and regulatory requirements
Report design progress and risk to the project team

Who you are

Design management experience in construction or housebuilding
Strong coordination and programme-management skills
The ability to keep a design programme on track under pressure
A relevant technical, architectural or engineering background
Good communication across design and delivery teams

Typical salary

£55,000 – £75,000
