What the job involves

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you take full commercial ownership of larger or more complex schemes and mentor the surveyors beneath you. You sit between QS and Commercial Manager level, and you are trusted to run the commercial position on a project with minimal oversight.

Take full commercial ownership of your allocated schemes
Lead cost planning, valuations and final accounts on higher-value projects
Mentor and check the work of assistant and junior surveyors
Manage major subcontractor packages and negotiations
Report the commercial position to the Commercial Manager or Director
Identify and manage commercial risk across the project

Who you are

Several years' experience at Quantity Surveyor level
Experience on higher-value or more complex schemes
The ability to take full commercial ownership of a project
A construction or QS qualification
Strong negotiation and subcontractor management skills

Typical salary

£60,000 – £80,000
